Scenes from Romeo and Juliet:
For this project I was an actor. I was in charge of playing the Prince of Verona. I spent a lot of time modifying and cutting down the script. Once we finalized our lines we spent the majority practicing our lines, memorizing and doing rehearsals.
PRINCESS (Modified Version)
"Savages, rebellious enemies of peace! Turning your weapons against your own neighbors, Can they not hear? Hey you! You Men, you beasts, who gain satisfaction of fountains of blood from your anger. I'll have you tortured if you don't put your swords down! Throw them to the floor and listen to my angered words. Three riots have broken out because of a casual word from a Capulet and Montague. That is three times peace has been disturbed from our streets. If you ever disrupt the quiet streets again your lives will pay for it. Everyone else depart. You Capulet shall go along with with me and Montague you this afternoon. I'll say this once more: depart or be executed"

Who is my character?
I was assigned to the role of princess of Verona. My character came in stopped the fight that was happening between the Capulet and Montague. I am considered a figure of authority to the whole town. My character is tough, fair, and a sign of royalty. I think that he grew up rich. He was raised by good parents who taught him the difference between whats fair and not, his morals.
Raison d'tre
My character wants peace and quiet. I know this because he brings up pasts fights/riots and that just shows that hes tired of the disturbance. So what I did to show this was I raised my voice loud, looked annoyed, and very angry.
Best LineI can't really pick a specific line that is the best or one that shows the greatest emotion. I think his whole line was full of emotion. Disappointment, fury, and annoyance.

Exhibition Reflection
My favorite from of the play was when Romeo and Juliet find each other at the party and they started dancing. Also when it was my scene to go on. Just seeing it all come together made me feel really proud and just watching it and being apart of it, is a feeling I will never forget.
Learning from this project a good actor is someone who becomes the character. I feel that they're is a difference from acting and just having your lines memorized. Also passion. To not be afraid to get into it. Something I would have done differently is more hand motion. I felt that I got the voice and facial expression down but, I think that it would have been better to have hand motions.
Acting is a discovery of something that I found that I enjoy, but I would rather have it something I do for fun instead of having it as a career.
I learned that feedback plays a really big part in putting a great play and always finding room for improvement. Constant feedback and what we would give each other whenever we ran through our play and I believe that has genuinely made our play better.

Essential Question: The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet was written over 400 years ago. Based on your specific acting scene, how have the relationships changed since that time? How have they stayed the same? Where have we improved in our relationships? What problems do we still have when it comes to dealing with each other?
Some similarities from our scenes to the time now is the relationships between the two men who fought eachtoher. I think that not men but, women also sometimes get upset over little things and it can be blown out of proportion so quickly. Just like how a town riot was caused because Abraham bit his thumb at Gregory. Also how the Prince of Verona stepped in to stop everyone from fighting that reminds me of anyone of an authority figure whether its a parent, teacher, or principal because they would react so quickly if we got out of hand. Especially with teachers or parents if they're students are misbehaving sometimes they would be frustrated or angry just how the Prince of Verona was.
