Introduction
Hopes & Goals
My hopes and goals for 11th grade is to develop a strong work ethnic now so that when its time as a senior and as a college student the workload won't be so new to me. I really want to strive to be on top of my work because as an athlete I am crazy busy so being on top of my work will allow me to still have some sort of life outside of school which I think would be good for me to use as a break from the stresses of Junior year.
Most Memorable Thing
The most memorable thing for me about Junior year so far was The Power Within reading series exhibition night. This whole process of writing, critiquing has been real tough and hard for everyone and it was really awesome to see my peers preform and show off their work. When finally at exhibition there was nothing but love, support, and good energy all around which created strong bonds within our class and created self discovery in some of us, and empathy for most.
Evolution as a Student
I am evolving as a student in the way I view challenge and how I have embraced challenge. Before as a student I was already defeated at the fact that junior year was going to be challenging. So that meant when being encountered with a problem or challenge I would have a really negative attitude and mindset. I would get no where by just being grumpy, stressed, and so there was a point where I realized talking and complaining about my work wouldn't get me anywhere. I realized at the end of the day the work still needs to get done, the work is still challenging, so why not embrace it and tackle the problem with a positive attitude. So from there on I've learned to embrace challenge and just grind and go hard with my work and found that it has made it so much easier to just get it done.
