1. How can we use the mistakes and triumphs from WWII to guide our actions for Syria?
A way we could use the mistakes and triumphs from World War II to guide our actions for Syria is by knowing how vulnerable the refugees or the citizens of Syria are. Because some of them are joining ISIS. Just like how back then Hitler took advantage of their vulnerability by blaming certain religions, mostly Jews. Also seeing the wrong people take power will cause world wide chaos and catastrophe. An example is Hitler how he killed over 6 million people and caused a world war. That could apply now for one of the candidates running for president Donald Trump. He is racist, prejadust, and his actions for ISIS is to bomb entire Syria not thinking of the fact that they're are still innocent people.
2. Does history have to repeat itself?
No. It won't have to if we be cautious in not making the same mistakes or by doing things differently.

This is a timeline about the Syrian Civil war how it started and some major events that happened along the way.
This image was a class activity while watching a documentary on how ISIS became so powerful and how they even became a caliphate. Its a huge web connecting thoughts.
This is my summary on the question "what event made ISIS rise to power?"
